Great newsletter! And so glad you managed to get a digital detox over the holidays.
For the busy mind, have you ever tried a float tank?? I tried one after Christmas, and my mind was still fairly busy in the tank but it was an hour of breathing and soothing, and when I got out I was so relaxed and my mind was quieter than it had been in ages!
I have! And I loved it! Unfortunately it's also what led to my eye infections that ended up in me getting Lasik! The first (and only time I have gone) I wore contacts cause I was not told not to, some salt water got into my eye and it led to an infection and apparently once you get one, it's so easy to get another and it was two years of non stop infections before I just got Lasik surgery. But since I don't need contacts anymore, it might be worth a try again! I did loveeee it!
Love this style of newsletter - will lend yo lits of nice conversations down here in the comments I'm sure! Also love that you found coming home such a relief and that all that work has paid off - what a lovely realisation to have 🥰
I hope so too! I realised why I still love Instagram all these years later is I still have a community over there so that's what I want to foster over here too <3
Just tuning into this, slightly late but I always save my substacks for when I can give them my full attention and that way it feels like a treat!
I’m really looking forward to your friendship book. My biggest heartbreak to date was a friendship and sometimes I still notice a bit of pain from it. I also want more friends but find it hard to put myself out there, I guess that’s probably a symptom of the heartbreak suffered. I also think people are less open to strangers talking to them, more wary and guarded as a society perhaps? Anyway looking forward to learning from your learning!

Can't wait to buy and read and also gift your book about friendships! It is a needed one ❣️
Love reading anything you write, miss your voice though.
Please do share your questions of yearly reflection 🙏🏼
